Ria is a patent attorney with a background in electrical engineering. Her practice covers a wide array of industries, ranging from software to electro-mechanical arts, and includes both domestic and international patent preparation and prosecution. 

Prior to becoming a patent attorney, Ria worked as a systems analyst, using her technical expertise to bridge gaps that may exist between engineers and business development groups. This experience shaped her interest in articulating technical aims for business entities based on their overarching business goals, where often, a major goal was legal protection. As a result, Ria understands that a client’s business needs can be varied and complex – and legal protection should complement existing business goals.

In her spare time, Ria enjoys going on long walks with her mini labradoodle, or observing from a safe distance as her identical twin nieces chase after her beleaguered pet.
